The Five Best Blogs on Men's Skincare and Grooming

men's skincare

There is an unlimited number of websites dedicated to women’s skincare, health, and beauty. We wear makeup, and so we’re always looking for ways to improve our application of makeup, follow current trends, and make sure that our skin is cleaned, treated, and moisturized before bed. A little research shows, however, that men’s skincare routines are just as interesting. There are a ton of products on the market for men’s skincare, and many specialty blogs that focus on the proper way of treating men’s skin.

The following five blogs are our favourites for men’s skincare—though there are many more interesting and well-written blogs about men’s skincare, health, and beauty.

The Five Best Blogs on Men's Skincare and Grooming

Grooming Guru

The Grooming Guru, which is considered an “Expert’s Guide to Male Grooming,” is written by Lee Kynaston, one of the UK’s most well-known and experienced male grooming experts, who worked for eight years at Men’s Health as a Grooming Editor. He is also an award-winning journalist with over 25 years’ experience, and he is also an in-demand consultant on topics pertaining to men’s health.

In 2013, he won the Grooming Blogger of the Year Award at the Fashion Monitor Journalism Awards.

Mirror Reality

Mirror Reality is written by Phil from Belgium, and the main page is the most aesthetically-pleasing. Phil was afflicted by acne in high school, and while trying to treat his skin, he realized that there weren't enough available products created for men and the range of skincare types men have. So he started a blog to keep track of his thoughts on different products and trends, and now it is considered to be one of the best-rated blogs on skincare for men.

Jules von Hep

Jules von Hep is a beauty blogger from the UK. He is also one of the most successful celebrity spray tanners, who has worked for years on the British version of Dancing with the Stars. His blog covers all aspects of male grooming, as well as other adventures about his life in London.

Sartorial Male

Sartorial Male was created in 2008. The website claims that “male grooming is the fastest growing area of the cosmetic world, … [as] Men are becoming increasingly concerned with the state of their appearance and the overall health of their skin.” The Sartorial Male blog aims to test and review products from all different brands so that its readers can determine—before purchase—whether or not a specific product may be suitable for them. Sartorial Male also tends to review products and fragrances that have been advertised specifically for men from popular brands such as Korres, Molton Brown, and Elemis.

It’s a great resource for the man who wants to gather all his information in one spot.
